  Dear fellow US citizens: subjecting
  people to simulated drowning serves
  no purpose to good men. Suggestions
  that "waterboarding" serves freedom
  are absurd. Any implicit bargain in
  which CIA representatives trade the
  extreme duress of fellow humans for
  my "freedom" - I explicity reject!

  No government or institution of men
  can pretend to safeguard my freedom.

  I'd rather be dead than give assent
  to sadism in exchange for security.
