  October 6, 2008                             [Permalink]

McCain not only favors deregulation, he profits from it,
as shown by his membership in the Keating Five group of
corrupt US Senators who profited in the deregulation of
"Savings and Loans". Caught red-handed, he refashioned
  himself as a born-again "maverick".

Barack Obama sat on a charity board with Bill Ayers. They
live in the same part of Chicago. This is a far cry from
the intimate involvement Mr McCain had in profiting from
corruption in his publicly elected office of US Senator.

The Keating Five are relevant because the scandal mirrors
current events. Financial institutions were deregulated...
and a crisis ensued. And in the case of the Keating Five,
McCain was found profiting from the deregulation he backed.

Barack Obama was 8 years old when Bill Ayers was blowing
up government offices in the middle of the night. If there
is any, Obama's guilt is by association. McCain's guilt is
well documented, and goes to the heart of the question of
his trustworthiness as an elected public servant.
